Controlling Odor

A decomposing body goes through four stages: autolysis, bloat, active decay, and skeletonization. During the second stage, trapped gases that are generated primarily by bacteria in the intestinal tract begin to build up and release odors.

Masking or Eliminating

In most instances products advertised to control or removing odors only mask the odor by adding a fragrant smell to the air ‘on top of’ the original odor. When the limited fragrant smell dissipates the foul odor is still present. The key to eliminating odor to the treat the odor at its source and chemically alter or eliminate the protein causing the odor.
